Location & parking

FM Physiotherapy has two clinics in Perth, Western Australia, in Thornlie and Booragoon, and both have free on-site parking.

Where is FM Physiotherapy located?

FM Physiotherapy has two Perth clinics:

  • Thornlie: inside Prime Medical Centre, Shop 25/101 Forest Lakes Dr, Thornlie WA 6108.
  • Booragoon: inside Apex Badminton Centre, 17 Aldous Pl, Booragoon WA 6154.

Is there parking at FM Physiotherapy?

Yes. Both FM Physiotherapy clinics, Thornlie (Prime Medical Centre) and Booragoon (Apex Badminton Centre), have free on-site parking.

Which FM Physiotherapy clinic should I book?

Both clinics offer physiotherapy, so choose whichever is closer. Badminton players often choose Booragoon, because the clinic is inside Apex Badminton Centre and is home to the FM System badminton rehab programs.

What are FM Physiotherapy's opening hours?

Appointment times vary by clinic and day. The online booking page shows live availability for Thornlie and Booragoon, or call 0424 272 287.

Appointments, pricing & booking

At FM Physiotherapy, initial physio appointments are 30 minutes, no GP referral is needed for private patients, and you can book online 24/7.

How much does physiotherapy cost at FM Physiotherapy?

Fees depend on the appointment type (initial, follow-up, extended, shockwave, NDIS, or insurance-funded). Call 0424 272 287 or email admin@fmphysiotherapy.com for the current fee schedule. If you have private health insurance, you can claim on the spot with HICAPS and pay only the gap.

FM System badminton rehab packages are priced upfront: RALLY (4 weeks) $1,933, SMASH (6 weeks) $2,900 and CHAMPION (12 weeks) $3,800, all inclusive of GST. A 15-minute FM System discovery call is free.

How long is a physio session at FM Physiotherapy?

Initial physiotherapy appointments are 30 minutes and follow-up appointments are booked in 30-minute slots. Extended 60-minute consultations are available. NDIS physiotherapy consultations are 60 minutes, and shockwave therapy sessions are 30 minutes initially and 20 minutes for follow-ups.

Do I need a GP referral to see a physiotherapist?

No GP referral is needed for private patients. A referral is required if you're using Medicare (EPC / Chronic Disease Management), and WorkCover WA, DVA or NDIS funding may require a referral or claim number.

How do I book an appointment?

Book online 24/7 through FM Physiotherapy's booking page (choose Thornlie or Booragoon), call 0424 272 287, or request a callback and we'll call you within one business day.

What should I wear to my physio appointment?

Wear comfortable, loose clothing that gives easy access to the area being treated, for example shorts for knee problems or a singlet for shoulder assessments.

How many physio sessions will I need?

It depends on your condition and goals. After your first assessment, your physiotherapist will outline a personalised plan and adjust it as you progress.

Insurance & funding

FM Physiotherapy accepts private health insurance via HICAPS, Medicare EPC, WorkCover WA, motor vehicle accident (ICWA), DVA and NDIS clients at both Perth clinics.

Can I use my private health insurance at FM Physiotherapy?

Yes. FM Physiotherapy offers on-the-spot claiming via HICAPS for most major private health funds, so you only pay the gap on the day. How much you get back depends on your fund and level of extras cover.

Does Medicare cover physiotherapy at FM Physiotherapy?

Partly. If your GP refers you under a Chronic Disease Management (EPC) plan, Medicare subsidises up to 5 allied health sessions per calendar year (shared across all allied health services on your plan). A gap fee applies to EPC sessions at FM Physiotherapy.

Do you treat WorkCover and motor vehicle accident injuries?

Yes. FM Physiotherapy treats WorkCover WA and motor vehicle accident (Insurance Commission of WA) clients. Bring your referral and claim number to your first appointment.

Do you accept DVA and NDIS clients?

Yes. FM Physiotherapy sees DVA clients and NDIS participants. NDIS physiotherapy consultations are 60 minutes and focus on your functional goals.
